The Writing Process Blog Tour

I first want to thank Susanne Leist for inviting me on this blog tour. I feel honored.

“The purpose of this tour is to showcase fellow writers with emphasis around the writing process itself to spread great words, get insights, and to show support in this isolating craft we embark on.”

1. What am I working on at the moment?
Currently I'm working on a few projects; last minute touches to Baby Girl 3, editing Eye of The Storm for hopeful publication this fall, and the Baby Girl 4- all the answers will be revealed.

2. How does my work differ from others in it's genre?
My work differs in that I don't stick to one genre. I write stories as the force their way to my conscious mind. Once I begin writing they grow into something I never planned. I don't think about the genre until after the story is written. My creativity can't be wrapped into a box with a bow; it's more like the open box that was knocked over by a child and now child and dog are playing inside it, dragging it around the house and yard.

3.Why do I write what I do?
I enjoy it. I have seen and endured a lot in my lifetime and it all forces it's way out in my writing. No, my books are not about me but when I write the creepy darkness comes out and settles into character form within my books. In the case of As Snow Falls it was more of an escape from reality.

4. How does my writing process work?
A spark of an idea ignites my brain. The spark turns into a full fledged fire which has to be written to put out the growing flames. I write until that story is told then I wait it out a few months and read and edit again looking for inconsistencies. When I'm pleased I send it out for others opinions, edit again and send it off to be copy edited. Then edit again.
