   Melissa finally smiled. ‘When you put it like that, I guess not.’ She pressed her hand against her cheek, frowning.
    Luke pulled it away, and kissed her scars, although he hardly noticed them. ‘You don’t have to worry about them either. You’re still the most amazing, beautiful girl in the world.’ He kissed her so sweetly, she melted and some of her pain slipped away.
    There was one other thing they did need to discuss, and Luke was being stubborn about it. Melissa on the other hand wanted to do it, she needed to know why? ‘I think you should meet with

Dean. We should...’ she said. She saw his expression change, from calm to annoyance in a second.
    ‘No.’
    Melissa had expected that answer; it was always his answer. She didn’t blame him.  ‘Listen, I know seeing him will be really difficult. But I think we need to know why. I want to know, Luke. I want to know what made him betray us so badly. He’s desperate to explain, giving me the impression there’s more to this.’
    Luke sat on the side of the bed and sighed heavily, thinking it through. ‘I don’t think I want to know, or maybe I do. I don’t know. He was supposed to be my friend. I spoke to him through our split, he watched me fall apart, comforted me. Let me bang on about it. I-I pretty much cried on the guy’s shoulder. And all the time he knew the truth, could have changed it. He didn’t and that fucking hurts.’
    Melissa wrapped her arms around him, resting her head on his shoulder. ‘I know. Babe, I know.’
    He grabbed her hand and kissed it. ‘He helped to break us. What if Kelsey had never told the truth?’
    ‘Don’t, Luke. Please don’t.’
    ‘You wouldn’t be here, would you?’ He didn’t look at her as he spoke. The answer to that question they both knew the answer to. Probably not.

Author Bio
Kat Green was born Nov 1979 into a military family and moved around alot during her childhood. This shaped her into the person she is today. She is at ease with meeting new people and adapting to new surroundings. Her family roots are from Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Kat now lives with her husband and son on the south coast of England, Portsmouth. She doesn't pretend to be the best and is still growing as a writer and having fun along the way. She

loves books and has a busy imagination. Her love for music plays a big part in her first novel called Strings. Kat loves to watch live bands and can usually be found at gigs around the UK. In 2010 she lost her mother to blood cancer and it was time to put her words on a page and stop worrying about what people might say 'Life is too short and precious to waste' is her motto. Writing is her passion and her escape.

Book Review:
I fell in love with Strings so had to read Encore. The story picks up right where Strings leaves off. The Black Eagles and their friends are having a difficult time adjusting after the stress and terror Jay-Den and Amber inflicted on them. Kat Green nailed the high strung emotions of the group of new adults. The drama was very realistic and mimicked how I would see a group that age dealing with the trauma.
A few parts broke my heart and rendered me nearly in tears while other scenes made me smile and squeal with excitement. The book isn’t without a new villain both wreaking havoc and adding to the excitement and action in this sequel. There are a few plot twists that had me guessing and scratching my head and loads of suspense! Kat Green has placed herself on my favorite author list with her phenomenal series.

Enjoyable, surprise packed read!
